The first graders at Harrisburg Elementary in Harrisburg, NC have just made a huge dent in the money needed for Zadecha Island and its people! By sacrificing their ice cream treats for three weeks this month (and maybe a little extra sacrifice thrown in) they have raised $2000 for Garrett's Heart!
Harrisburg 1st graders and Ms. King (Tia and Garrett's teacher, organizer)..... YA'LL ROCK!

Thank you so much to all the students, parents, teachers, and staff who donated money to this wonderful cause. We were so overwhelmed by the generosity today and throughout this month! To see the kids' faces in my class light up every time we talked about it and saw someone else enter our classroom with more money and change to count was such a blessing. Thank you so much to Mrs. Henderson for sharing with our classes all the information about life on the island. You have truly taught a lesson that no text book could ever teach. We are so glad that Tia and Garrett are blessed to be a part of your family and couldn't imagine first grade without them.
